No, I did NOT fall off the face of the earth.

Hi!

So maybe some of you are kinda wondering where I was???  Or maybe not.  I don't know.  But I'm gonna tell you either way. :P

I haven't posted for nearly a month *gasps* and a lot has changed!  First and foremost, I am now going to public school!  I know, surprising, right?  So that's sorta like the main reason why I haven't been posting.  I've been busy, but it's so worth it!!  I really like my classes (woodshop is by far my favorite!!), and it's been great! :)

So.... instead of trying to 'catch you up' on everything, I'm just gonna start right now!

I have some more big news.......

I will be shutting down my blog designs for a while.  I've just been too busy, but I'll hopefully start it up again in the future.  If you have ordered a design from me and are still waiting, I have some great girls you can go to.  Here'a a few great designers:

The Last Day

Hi There,

Well, another summer has come and gone, and another school year it about to begin.  Am I excited?  Ummmmm, NO.  Haha!  No, I'm really not, because I don't like school work, and being homeschooled sort of cancels out the social advantages. :P  So, I'm going to enjoy my Last. Day. Of. Summer. :'(  Although I'm not excited for school, I'm of course going to do my best, get good grades, and have a good year. :)

Hello!

Haha!  Do you like my title?  Thank you so much to my new friend, Lindsay!

For the last few weeks, I've been having REALLY GREAT school days (not that they were bad before, it's just been ESPECIALLY good! ;).  I just wanted to tell you what's been going on.  I have been getting up in between 6:45 and 7:30.  At first it was really hard for me to get back in the routine from summer, but it is getting much better.  Also, I have a little tiny advantage with the 'Fall Back' of time, so I've been tricking my body into getting up at 6:30 instead of 7:30.  It's been working great!  My estimated time of finishing school each day is around 12:30.  I then have time to do fun stuff before I go to dance, and I've been able to post quite frequently!  There are so many advantages to homeschooling.  Last Tuesday, both Lindsay and I finished our school very early, and we got to go an a family hike with the dogs.  It was so great.  

I personally feel like I get a much better education than I would if I was in public school.  I also like that my curriculum is 'Self-Guided.'

Through another blogger named Emily Sacra (she is a 16 year old homeschooler), I found a really awesome YouTube channel called BlimeyCow.  Their videos are SO FUNNY!!!!  They also have good messages, but they are portrayed with humor.  Please check them out!

If you've ever been interested in homeschooling, and your parents have time, I would highly recommend trying it.

My First Day of 7th Grade!

Hello!

So, today was my first official day of 7th grade!  I am pretty proud of myself, because I started around 8:30, and finished at 1:45 P.M. on my first day!!!  Yes, 1:45!  Super happy about that.  I'm happy with most of my curriculum this year, and I am hoping that I will be able to have good days like this all year long!  Here's the rundown on my curriculum:

Math: Saxon Algebra 1.  I've been doing Saxon for a long time now, so that's nothing new and exciting. :o)

Science: Bob Jones University Press 7th Grade Life Science.  I love, love, love this science program!  I have the online video lessons with Mrs. Vick, and I love science!

Grammar and Writing: Saxon Grammar and Writing 7.  I have been doing Saxon Grammar for a couple years, so, once again, nothing new!

Literature: Life Pac American Literature.  I haven't done this yet, because it's not assigned to me on Tuesdays.  It's on the schedule for tomorrow.

Reading Comprehension: Reading Detective B1.  This book is good for reinforcing reading comprehension, but it's kind of boring.

Vocabulary: Wordly Wise 3000 Book 7.  I find this book to be very educational, and I really like the layout of it.

Handwriting: Universal Publishing Handwriting: A Self-Improvement Workbook: Book H.  My cursive isn't very nice, so I do this a couple times a week to improve it.  I usually write in print anyway, but my mom wants me to have good cursive.

History:  All American History: Volume II.  This is a pretty good program.  Volume II is going to be waaaaay more interesting than Volume I, because I will be learning about the time period during/after the Industrial Revolution!

Geography: Discovering the World of Geography: Grades 5&6.  I am in the 5&6 book because I didn't do geography one year, but I'm going to catch up this year.

Second Language: Rosetta Stone Homeschool: Latin.  I'm not sure how I like this.  I had an immersion program for Spanish in 1st Grade, and I didn't really like it.  I'm hoping this program will be better!
