Claire is Coming!!!

Hi!!!

Guess what???  My very, very special friend, Claire, who moved away last summer, is coming to visit us!!!!  We are SO SUPER EXCITED!!!!  We are picking her and her mom up from the airport a little bit later today, and we can't wait to see them!  My mom and her mom are also very, very good friends, so it will be a wonderful reunion!  Lindsay and I have prepared a little welcome party for the AG's (Claire is our special AG friend), and we just can't wait!!!  I will show you pictures of our party later.

Aaaaaaaah.  It's finally the weekend.  FINALLY!!!!!  WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN, WEEKEND?????  YOU'VE BEEN HIDING FROM ME!!!!!!!  Haha.  This week has been exhausting for me.  Anybody feeling the same way????  I am just feeling totally over done.  But, it's not over yet, because I still have two (yes, two) Algebra lessons left.  Uuuuuuuuuugh.  Plus, today, we have a big shopping day.  And I'm not talking about clothes, or anything FUN; I'm talking about groceries.  Since we don't live nearby big stores like Wal-Mart, Costco, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, etc. we have to make BIG shopping days about once a month.  Let's just say I am NOT EXCITED.  Oh well... what can I say?  It's an unfortunate part of life.  But, aside from that, I SHOULD have a nice Sunday.  I pretty much plan on skiing, or just doing NOTHING.  I haven't gotten to do that for a good 5 days.  And now it's going to be 6.

Ok, I'm done ranting now. =P

I had a good week, it was just tiring.  I actually got to go skiing on Thursday, which was fun.  The only thing was that my hands got TOTALLY frozen!!!!  I don't know why, but it was very painful.  They literally had to thaw out, and it HURT.  So, when we go to Costco today, we are going to get the 100 pack of hand warmers.  Yay!!!  We got some to try out last year, never used them, and just tried them out a few weeks ago.  They work SO WELL!!!

The kittens are doing really well, and of course they are super adorable!!!  They are super, super sweet, and the dogs are actually hanging out with them!  They love to be around us, and they play with EVERYTHING!!!!  Kooper still isn't quite sure about them, because he is not used to having other animals be the center of attention.  He still gets a lot of love, but he now has to share the spotlight.  :D  He is being very sweet about it, though.

Our cats are actually acrobats!  We have a ladder that goes up to our loft (playroom) and they have been climbing on it!!!!  It is so funny!!!  Maggie is much more coordinated (and smarter; no offense Jack :), so she is a lot better at it.  Jack is working on it, and he is doing pretty good.  We are trying to train them to do it, and so far, the best lure is the treat bag!

Josefina: "Hello!"

Audrey and Kate: "Hello!"  

Josefina:  "Welcome to Tangled!  Are you the 1 o'clock?"  

Audrey and Kate:  "Yes, yes we are."  

Josefina:  "Great!  Your stylist will be right out."  

Audrey and Kate:  "Thank you!"

Audrey: "Hey Kate!  Look at all of these great magazines!"

Kate: "Oooooo!  I'm going to read Dance Teacher."

Audrey: "I'm going to read Pointe.  Elizabeth is a dancer, and she said it's a good magazine."

Hailey: "Hello, my name is Hailey.  I will be your stylist today.  Come take a seat."

Audrey: "I'm so excited!"  

Kate: "Me too!"  

Hailey: {rustling around trying to find the hairbrush} "So, what would you like me to do with your hair today?"  

Audrey: "I would like a surprise hairstyle."  

Hailey: "OK, that will be fun.  What about you, Kate?"  

Kate: "First, I would like to have my hair curled, and then, I would love to have some Drop Braids."  

Hailey: "OK, I can do that.  Ah, here is the hairbrush!"

Hailey: "I'm going to curl your hair, and then I'm going to let it dry while I work on Audrey's hair."  

Kate: "OK, sounds great!"

Hailey: "I'm going to start out by brushing your hair."

Hailey: "Your hair is so pretty, Audrey!"  

Audrey: "Thank you!"  

Hailey: "This hairstyle is going to look great on you."

Hailey: "And now for the final touches.  Brush the hair..."

Nice To Meet You!

Hi!

My name is Grace, and I am a 12 year old homeschooler.  I love American Girls, animals, dancing, bike riding, hiking, and baking (especially cupcakes).  I live with my parents, my younger sister Lindsay (9) and my 2 dogs; a German Shepherd named Kaptain, and Kooper, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (long name, I know!).  Kooper is my special little dog, and he is the sweetest dog in the world!  I love him so much!  I also have a beta fish named Royal.  I named him that because he is a "Crowntail Beta."  I will post pictures of my pets later.

Reading is my favorite "quiet" activity.  I read A LOT, and I mainly like to read fiction.  I think books are the coolest thing; when I read I am completely immersed in "another little world," and I feel like I know the character.  I was in my bed the other morning, right after I had just finished a book when it occurred to me that this is why I enjoy reading so much.  I have to say, as weird as this may sound, I was utterly fascinated!

I have a very good friend Claire who has been blogging for a few years (please look at her blog here) and she inspired me to create my own blog.  So, I started a blog when I was 9, and it was a lot of fun, but I lost my motivation to keep posting (don't ask me why - probably because I was 9) so I just kinda stopped.  I've been following several blogs (you can check out my blog list), and I have really enjoyed looking at their posts.  They have really inspired me, and I hope that my blog will do the same for you.

I have been thinking about starting a new blog up for awhile now, so today is the day!  This blog will be about life; so I will be posting stuff about me, my family, my dogs, my thoughts and experiences, and things I find interesting and inspiring.   I will try to post regularly, and I think this "blog adventure" will be really fun!  So, here we go!
