Guest Post from Lindsay of Stories By Me and Lindsay's Barbie World

Hi!

Today we have a special guest post from my sister Lindsay of Stories By Me and Lindsay's Barbie World!  She is sharing an exclusive preview of her new story, The Wild Stallion.  Enjoy!

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Hello!

My name is Lindsay, and I am 10 years old.  I have a blog called Stories By Me and I'd love it if you would check it out!  Click Here to visit my blog.  I love to write stories, dance, sing, play with AGs (American Girls), SUP (Stand Up Paddle board), hike, bike, and play the piano.  I have two kittens, and two dogs, and one fish, and I love pets!

Today, I'm going to release a sneak peek of my new story.  It is exclusive, and will only be on Grace's blog.  If you're interested,  look out to see the first chapter up on my blog.

The Wild Stallion

"Wake uuuuup, wake uuuuup,"  said Johnny.

Heather slowly opened her eyes, and everything seemed blurry, but when everything came into focus someone was standing right over her looking at her face.  Startled, she screamed.

"Relax Heather, it's just me, Johnny."

"What are you doing in here?  Get out, get out,"  Heather demanded.

She immediately got out of bed, and started shoving her brother to the door.

"Whoa!  Dad just sent me in to tell you..."

But it was too late, Heather had already slammed the door behind him, and then quickly opened it a crack.

"Tell me what?" asked Heather.

"He's going to work, and you need to cook breakfast.  Oh, and don't forget to clean the stalls and give the pigs breakfast,"  Johnny told her in a rush.

Irritated, she quickly slammed the door (again) and heaved a sigh.

"Johnny, are you still there?" Heather asked after a moment.

"Not anymore,"  His voice faded as he scurried away.

"Ugh, little brothers!"  Heather grunted.

What do you think so far?  I hope you guys liked it.  Thanks for letting me guest post Grace!

Guest Post by Kayla from Laugh 'an Love and Through the Eyes of a Doll

Hi!

Kayla from Laugh 'an Love and Through the Eyes of a Doll sent in a guest post!  Check it out below!

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I am super excited to do this Guest Post!

Rant.  Doll Hairstyle

Raise your hand if you ever get writer's block.

*raises hand*

I get writer's block a lot.   Like right now!
I do some weird stuff to help me get inspiration.

10 THINGS I DO FOR INSPIRATION.

1. Blow up a balloon and bounce it around the room.  Making sure it doesn't hit the ground.
2. Listen to music.
3. Read other peoples' posts.
4. Read my past posts.
5. Take a walk.
6. Talk to myself.
7. Draw.
8. Read.
9. Sleep.
10. Eat.
11. Randomly write until inspiration hits me.

Okay so I lied.. That was 11 things.
[Wait.. Is that inspiration I hear calling?  Yes!  Yes it is!]

Cute Twist Hairstyle For Your Doll

Have you ever been stumped on how to do your doll's hair?
Well.. No more!  Here is a super cute twist hairstyle to do on your doll!
(Like my introduction?  Haha!)

The flip and twist!

Now there are many ways to do this one!
Here is one of my ways.

Part your doll's hair.
Take a little piece from the start of the hair on either side of the head.
And separate it from the rest of the hair.
Take the rest of the hair and pull it together near the bottom of the head.  Like you're making a low ponytail.
Instead of putting a band in it.
Twist it and bring it up.
Then take a clip and secure the hair.

Voila!  You are done!

Hope you enjoyed!

Guest Post from Hannah!

Hi!

Today, Hannah is going to review a book for us!

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I write posts mostly about Hobbits and Rings.  I also write book and movie reviews.  And just a lot of random posts about my everyday life!

I finished reading this book yesterday!  I have one word to describe it: AMAZING!!  It is absolutely brilliant!  J.R.R. Tolkien made no mistake when he wrote this book!
It was full of action and had quite a few battle scenes.  So, if you don't like reading about people getting stabbed or violence, then this is definitely not the book for you!
But, it did hold tales of friendship, loyalty, and courage.  For example, Frodo didn't exactly 'want' to take the ring to Mordor, but he knew he had to if Middle Earth was to ever be at peace again.  And even though there are hard times in the book when he just felt like giving up, he persevered and went on.
Sam held true to his promise that he wouldn't ever leave Frodo.  He stuck with him through the good times and the bad.
And Aragorn protected the little Hobbits from evil, when he could.
There's also the fact that Frodo, Gandalf, Boromir, and all were tempted to take the ring and put it on.  It shows that all are tempted in life.
My favorite characters are:
Frodo - He tries to be so brave.  Who couldn't like him?
Aragorn - I didn't like Strider at first, but soon came to love his character.  He is loyal and true to the Fellowship.
Merry and Pippin - They are quite a funny duo.  Pippin can be so careless at times and isn't too bright.  Where as Merry is smarter and has to sort of look out for him.
Samwise Gamgee - He too, is very loyal.  Especially to Frodo.  He tries his best to protect him all throughout the book and won't let Frodo go anywhere without him.  At the end of the book, when Frodo is leaving, Sam follows him (and risks his life doing so, because he can't swim and nearly drowned) and tells him that he made a promise to Gandalf, never to leave Frodo or let anything happen to him.
This is one of my favorite books and I can hardly wait to start the Two Towers!  I definitely recommend this book!
Have you read this book?  Any thoughts or comments on it?  Tell me in the comments below!

Thanks, Hannah!  That was a great review!  I haven't read any of The Lord of the Rings books yet, but they definitely sound intriguing!  Make sure to go check out and follow Hannah's blog, Living a Life 4 Christ, here!

Guest Post from Jessie!

Hi!

Today, I am going to share a guest post that Jessie sent me!  Enjoy!

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Hello everyone!  I'm Jessie!  I love writing, photography, art, and horses.  My blogs are here, here, and here.  On each one of them I post about different things, like AG, photography...etc.  Today, in this guest-post, I'll share some photography with a few tips.

Crop You don't always have to use the full photo...you can crop it to your favorite part, or where the focus is (or both)!

Be colorful and use natural lighting It's always good to add some color!  Also, most pictures come out best with natural lighting from the sun.  Make sure you have good lighting!

Shadows Shadows can be fun to play around with; be creative!

And, of course, remember to have fun! :)

xoxo,
Jessie

Motivational and Inspirational Quotes {Guest post by Olivia}

Today, I am honored to have Olivia guest posting on my blog!  Please enjoy her post below:

Hello, my name is Olivia, I'm 15, and I'm just a normal teen girl from England who likes to blog.  Here is a link to my blog if you want to check out some more of my posts:

For this guest post, I decided that I would blog about 'Motivational and Inspirational Quotes.'  These are some of my favorite quotes, and the ones that I go to when I feel down.  The pictures are underneath in order of the list.

What I like to do is print out my favorite quotes or write them on a bit of paper and pin them on my wall so they are always there when I need a bit of inspiration or motivation.  I hope you enjoy! :)

"See the invisible, believe the incredible, achieve the impossible."

"My dad gave me the greatest gift anyone could give to another person.  He believes in me."

"This is your life, be who you want to be."

"Don't follow your dreams; chase them."

"Remember the compliments you receive.  Forget the insults."

"Before you act, listen.
Before you react, think.
Before you spend, earn.
Before you criticize, wait.
Before you pray, forgive.
Before you quit, try."

"We do not remember days.  We remember moments."

"Sometimes you need to look at life from a different perspective."

"The future belongs to the few of us still willing to get our hands dirty."

"Life begins at the end of your comfort zone."

This is a great quote, I love my dad so much, and the fact that he does believe that I can do what ever I set my mind to is really emphasized by this.

I love this one because everyone says that you should follow your dreams which is great, but this goes further by telling you to go after your dreams more and not to give up.

When I saw this I immediately loved it because lots of people get insults stuck in their head and have trouble letting them go.  But many of us, including me, forget when we are complimented easily.  This reminds us not to care about insults, but to savour the compliments and good things about us.

This gave me shivers and is definitely my favourite.  I think this quote is beautiful.  We are not going to get a perfect day all the time but there are many moments that we want to keep forever and the ones that we will always want to cherish.  This really reflects the feeling inside me that made the shivers.

This made me smile because it shows that one person (or bird) who is a little bit different and it shows that it is a good thing and sometimes better to not follow what everyone else does but do it differently.

This is a great inspiration because it's so true.  You can't expect to achieve amazing things or something that you want in your future if you don't do something about it and work for it.  You may not be able to control your future, but you can give it a helping hand in the right direction.

Thanks so much, Olivia!  This is such a great post, and I love all of the quotes!

Have a great day!

Clancy Drew {Guest Post By Madeline}

Hi, my name is Madeline!  I have the pleasure of posting on Grace's blog. :)

Meet Clancy Drew:

Clancy Drew is Nancy Drew's granddaughter {when Mrs. Drew and her husband got married, Nancy didn't change her last name!  Mr. Drew decided to stick with it}.  She goes to Midview Drive Elementary with her best friend, Elle.  To read Clancy and Elle's latest adventure, click here!

From Clancy:

Elle and I were walking back to school.  We hadn't changed clothes, because nobody saw us. :)

We were still shocked from the disappearance of the yearbook photos, and rather frightened.  Who would do this to Midview Drive Elementary?!  I think that's why we fell when we heard our names being called!

"Oh, gosh," Katrina said, "I'm so sorry!"  Katrina put out a hand to help me up.  Katrina lives two houses down from Elle's, and even though we aren't the best of friends, we are still friendly.

"But I've got a case for you, Clancy Drew," Katrina said excitedly, "Look at this... this is the hard drive the yearbook photos were on!  I plugged it into my computer, and more than half of the photos are gone!!"

"NO," cried Elle distractedly.  Elle had worked very hard on the yearbook photos, and even just one photo missing would be horrible!  "Thanks Katrina.  We already knew, but you gave us a clue!  Now we can find out who's picture to take," I said as Katrina waved goodbye, walking to her school.  "What are we going to do," wailed Elle.

Even though the third part of Clancy's mystery isn't up yet it can be found later here!
